Phonat - Set Me Free EP (Promo)

Here are a couple new tracks hot off the hard drive from one of my favorite new artists. Phonat releases the glitchy, copy and paste heat with "Get Down My Dirty Street " (genius sampling is you ask me) and anthem like synths in "Set Me Free." Check them both two weeks before they hit Beatport. Enjoy!

EDIT: The full EP is now available on Beatport. Pick it up HERE

Fatboy Slim vs. Koen Groeneveld - Rockafeller Skank

10 years after its original release, Fatboy Slim's ageless track "Rockafeller Skank" has been reworked; and generally speaking, I love when this happens. Koen Groeneveld, a somewhat unknown producer, teched up the classic for today’s market. This room-filler is sure to get it started, especially when the unforgettable hook drops. Check out the Dub version also available on Skint Records. Enjoy!

White Label Wednesday

I've slowed it down a bit this Wednesday and have two chilled-out downtempo remixes of classic Beatles tracks. The record is only labeled Beatlejuice, so I'm not sure if that's the artist or just the name of EP. Nevertheless, they're both relaxing alternatives to the norm. Enjoy!

Don Diablo vs De La Soul - Stand Up For Me, Myself and I

You can't deny the utter awesomeness of De La Soul's "Me, Myself and I." A timeless track off of 3 Feet High and Rising with superb sampling that appeals to pretty much everyone; hip hop fan or not. Don Diablo took this classic and gave it a new spin for the eletro-house and hip-house market. needless to say, it works. check out the original and dub version below. Enjoy!

Cut Copy Live @ The Glass House March 9th
I know I said this several times before, but I love The Glass House! And I'll continue to say that every single time. No lines, ins and outs and most importantly room to breathe. This time it was Australian synth-rockers Cut Copy, who performed an almost seamless hour and a half set. Below are some of the highlights of the show. Enjoy!

Royksopp - Junior (Vision One)

So I've finally had the pleasure of listening to Royksopp's upcoming album Junior and I'm happy to say...Royksopp is still Royksopp. Many veteran duos these days are trying way too hard to create a new mature sound and fail miserably; thus returning to their roots. But Royksopp stuck with what they already know and succeeded. Don't get me wrong, this isn't their best album in my opinion, but the dynamics are great. You can also still expect The Knife vocalist Karin Dreijer Andersson to appear on a few tracks and some amazing samplage. I've included a little preview that samples Stevie Wonder's "Too High." Absolutely brilliant! Enjoy!

Doves - Kingdom Of Rust and Push Me On Remixes
I really can't express to you haw truly excited I am about the Doves upcoming album Kingdom Of Rust. They have taken quite a hiatus since Some Cities, but have finally returned with what sounds to be a solid album. To celebrate I've included a few beautifully crafted remixes by Prins Thomas, The Glimmers and Playgroup. And if that wasn't already enough, the original "KOR" track is there as well. Rejoice and enjoy!

It's Wednesday! And today you're probably looking at the tracks thinking "Barbra and Louis? Hmmmm?" But I'll be the first to tell you they are house remixes and yes, they're pretty damn good. The Streisand mix was rumored to have been crafted but none other than Todd Terry while the Louis Armstrong and Police mixes are a mystery; just as white labels should be. Enjoy!
