San Diego Street Scene '05
I returned earlier today from Street Scene down in San Diego. In case you're wondering, Street Scene is and annual 2 day festival held as I said before in San Diego, hosting a griz of different artists. I only went to day 2 where 311, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, The Flaming Lips, The Pixies, Mixmaster Mike and others let the crowd have it. Method Man was entertaining, spitting some of the classics along with some new joints. He also gave tribute to the late ODB, Big Baby Jesus as I call him, shedding a few tears after "liking' it raw." I was also very impressed with 311's performance. They played tracks from their entire catalog, pleasing fans old and new. Overall the fest was good shit. Not really my kind of show (meaning nothing electronic..at all) But hey, not everything has to be funky right? Nevermind. Stay real.
